A kinder way
to do food
Our pledge to a more sustainable, community-focused restaurant. From the bricks in our walls to the farmers in our supply chain, we're building a place that gives back more than it takes — one avocado at a time.
Empowering local farmers & artisans
We buy direct from Balinese growers and makers — paying fairly, ordering seasonally, and keeping our supply chain short. It means fresher food on your plate and a stronger local economy around us.
From the avocados we smash to the ceramics we serve on, the people behind them are our neighbours, not a faceless wholesaler.
Plastic, given a second life
Roughly 1,600kg of plastic waste was collected, cleaned and pressed into the panels and fittings that shape our space — diverting it from landfill and the ocean, and turning a problem into a feature you can see and touch.
Nothing here is hidden greenwashing. The building itself is the statement.
Built with sustainable bricks
We built with a geopolymer brick that swaps energy-hungry cement for industrial by-products — cutting the embodied carbon of our walls dramatically while staying every bit as strong.
Good design shouldn't cost the earth. We'd rather prove it can heal a little instead.
How we keep it honest
Four commitments we measure ourselves against — every season, every build, every order.
Construction
Low-carbon bricks, upcycled plastic and reclaimed timber in everything we build.
Waste
Compostable packaging, a near-zero-waste kitchen and relentless recycling.
Farming
Direct, fair partnerships with local growers and seasonal, organic produce.
Community
Events, workshops and hiring that put Canggu's people at the centre.
We can't fix everything — but we can refuse to make it worse, and quietly make it a little better.
